Degree in Pharmacy (UC, Madrid, 1986), he developed his postgraduate training in the field of addictive disorders. Master in Drug Addiction from the University of Deusto, Master in Drug Addiction and AIDS by the Open University UNESCO, Specialist in Smoking (University of Cantabria), Specialist in Toxic and Narcotic Drugs (Complutense University), expert in Health Education Methodology in Cantabria.
For 10 years, he developed community drug prevention programs in the school environment. He was part of the group of pharmacists who developed Pharmaceutical Care, related to risk reduction programs and collaborated with the heroin dispensing programs of Switzerland. He is a family and couple therapist (Escuela Vasco Navarra de Terapia de Familia) since 2002, school where he teaches both face-to-face and online training. He has also given training in different specialized centers in Latin America.
He is the founder of the Cantabrian Institute of Addictive Behaviors (2000) and the Cantabrian Institute of Psychotherapy, SISTEMICCA (2007). He has given more than 100 workshops and lectures on addictions and systemic therapy and published several scientific articles, mainly focused on the clinic of smoking. At present, he focuses his attention on the development of creativity in the training of psychotherapists and has developed at least 6 creative techniques applicable to therapy.
